broken hearts in the cold crisp of winter
why do i set myself up for a fall
my fate has been like a roller coaster
my stomach no longer hungry, now lost
with out the sunshine in my heart
strange how everything works in this life
the world turns no matter what it,
will never end as it would have already stopped
in the night ... stars are no help anymore
where once was magic is now a whisper of her
what causes my demise ....
I ask the question well knowing the answer
peace once by my side
now fades to a depression far away ...
into my own world i will hide again
a fool with his one rose,
and how he thought he could make his wishes
come true
only to find that lonesome heart still beating
it goes deep
as my soul seems to turn away
on myself ...a division bell in the distance
as the hope of a blizzard enters my mind
dreaming it to be covered in a blanket of white ... and the moon to shine its light
a reflection of the sun , just a mirrors image thats all,
yet enough for light shadows to cast from the tree's and in the back corner is a hidden wolf
laying down alone in the snow ....
sending out a howl
so lonley it hurts to let it out
into the chilly air around him ....
a lost dreamer with a white coat
and cute ears and paws ...
resting his eyes and passing into sleep ...
so calm and almost invisable to all .. ..
all but the ones who know where,
he hides away his lost beauty till the moon sets
and the sunshine rises once again

Oh, this is sad -- but the imagery is amazing.   ...jo

willow , ahh weeping in the winds of a time gone by . ... years ago fade into today ..is time what we asked for or was it
created in the imagination of all , into the ice caves of the north is where my heart rests frozen and blue with love lost
my hopes bright and good is my truth in myself
but deflated in a seconds notice
what i knew was to happen
thanks for reading and happy you could relate even as sad as it seems ... it helps
thanks new pipster , this place is filled with hearts of gold and love that goes on for miles ... peace and passion ~Wolfie

Brother Wolf

"into my own world i will hide again
a fool with his one rose,
and how he thought he could make his wishes
come true
only to find that lonesome heart still beating
it goes deep
as my soul seems to turn away
on myself ...a division bell in the distance
as the hope of a blizzard enters my mind..."

Excellent poetry...

Many parts of this poem recall a time when I heard Jack Londons voice speaking to me through a wolf spirit...."the wild is lonesome",it said, and "it calls best when we are lonely"...It again speaks to me in this poem.

These lines say it all, James:

as my soul seems to turn away
on myself ...a division bell in the distance

You know you are stronger than that.

But I can empathize, very much so.
