Perhaps you’re dead. This would explain your prolonged absence – and why you ghost me now. Your choice would be death by woman – any one of a long list, a strand, knotted and tied apart, slung over your back, a rosary to finger. She would be like me, pushed to the deed by your constant cultivation of insecurities, and those leavings of infidelities.

We’ll always have the Shangri-la night in Santa Monica, with that window on the third floor
and phosphorescent views; crazies screaming up at us from the boardwalk; you breaking my fall
in air minus ions.

We might meet again and laugh about this someday: two friends smiling over clouds
while you pour me a clear drink and lure me into fire.

A long, long, VERY long time ago
I had a Richard in my life...

but he wasn't nearly as
flammable
as this.

Well done, Corinne.  Always good to see
your thoughts...

Thank you all very much! I feel this one still needs work, though, it's a little bit too much of a rant, needs to be tempered.
