i thought that
i could add my two cents worth

perhaps i will

but then again
my two cents may not be worth

it’s full value:

to look at, it is suspiciously obscure
it is frilled-spread, a typical posture it takes

when annoyed
and ready to bite

and lives the flat-out-drinking life
on a bronze spherical lake

though on the other hand, resides a new effigy
this time, she wears a more pronounced crown

they call her, Elizabeth
a monarch of sorts

so, it may be possible, as i flick my two cents
sky-high, to think, perhaps, it is worth more
than it’s full value

depending of course, if it lands
on it’s head, or it’s tail.

how i would love you, love you as no one ever did! Die and still, love you more. And still love you more..and more

I love the allegory in this, When is two cents not worth two cents. When the coins have disappeared and cents are rounded down or up depending on where you are. How clever of you to take something as simple as a two cent coin and turn it into magical poetry.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

I'm kind of hearing wranx in this--but then, smile--there's so many voices in my head to tell that I don't trust m'self.

I'd fall on the floor too, gorgeous, but wince--I have been a negligent housekeeper of late.

Your two cents?

If they could be put upon my eyes when I die, I could rest in peace.

This sounds like three people to me . . .

have we all started to sound like each other?

(Wouldn't I be the lucky one?)

But I hear Ed's voice in my head as I read it.

There, thats my guess.

Do I win?

(its beautiful btw, Maree)

Maree, I am baffled, really.  I think it could be one of three people, but I'm going to guess maybe it's our illustrious Ratleader!  Much enjoyed this.  Please tell us who it is now, k?!!!   ...jo

If I had two cents,
I would give them to you,
then multiply them
with a wave, and a wish,

that you will bequeath
another lovely
to us.

I more than liked it, my Darksis

as a poem, its wonderfully thoughtful

as a disguise?
also, very thoughtful!

I didn't see the very many of my own conceits used until Susie pointed them out.

LOL...Seems as if you're equipped to write a Dark Angel/wranx duet all by yourself!

I still havent forgotten my promise to duet, but the muse is off on a bender

(If she don't drag her sorry butt back here soon....I'm gonna RENT one...!)

And don't we ever know the true value of adding one's two cents....unlike the widow's mite, its value is clearly delineated.

On the other hand, honoring a worthy friend....priceless.
