My Inner Garden
~ Linda L. Dowd ~

Tiptoe, ever so softly,
through the garden in my heart.
Crush not my budding dreams
that they might blossom and grow.
Step gently, my love.
Bruise not the delicate petals
of this flowering soul.
Plant fertile seeds of kindness
within the walls of my inner sanctum.
Shower them with sweet words of love
and shine your golden rays of sun
upon the fragile flowers growing therein.
Sprinkle them with acts of kindness
and behold the beauty that abounds.
Tend this garden, deep in the soul of me,
with tender loving ways,
so that I might touch blue skies
and fly free among the stars.
These rich and vibrant flowers,
that dwell within the garden of my love,
will be forever there for your plucking
~ and consummate loving pleasure...
Nurture them with the essence of you,
and let not the weeds of deception
choke and bind the inner garden
of one who loves you so.

“We are born of star dust,
And to the stars we shall one day return.”
~ Linda L. Dowd

Linda - What a lovely walk through your romantic garden and I love this -

"let not the weeds of deception
choke and bind the inner garden
of one who loves you so."

The pity is that it so often happens in this world of ours.

Bunches of Honey ~

I am so pleased that you enjoyed the stroll through my romantic garden.

Yes, 'tis sad that love is often destroyed by deceipt.

May the strolls through the garden of your own loving heart, be joyous ones!

Lovin' hug,
Linda

Everwise Earth Angel, you show the vulnerability and fragility of the deepest heart's yearing.  I am adoring this write and it has a very personal meaning for me today.  In a sense, it gives me strength.  Missing you and sending hugs.....the lily lady

jo, my poem giving you strength, pleases me. However, your need for that added strength concerns me. Remember, I'm but an email or a phone call away!
