There is a touch that we share
The in between of mind and body
Shimmering atop the pond of another day
And in these times, we joust in gentle ways
Hoping for a glimpse at that swollen truth
Something speaking deep down inside
The echo tells, “she loves you, she really loves you”.
And I do, from the inside out and always
Among expressions that are only us
Pulling at the sutures of a wounded yesterday
As these frail hearts we let open pour
Filled with so much hope and so much fear
For the thin skin of healing is fresh
And I hear it, breath it, drink it in
“He loves you, he really loves you”.
Baring the parts of me never seen
Never told before, so cautiously and happily
There in the after, still spellbound
The untied laces of my best shoes trip me
Into questions heavily to kneel in my own arms
And I trace the space where you just lay
To wonder of the sunrise met beneath your hand

This is really lovely.

I know that feeling...and you captured it well.

Simply Amazing

Tomorrow comes for those who fear it.
Today never ends for those who live it.

Kathleen...This has to be your best!
Of course I think that about every one of yours I read..
But this oozes such tender feelings of love.
Very much enjoyed this keeper.
