I cry, aloud
on bended knee
crippled to some degree
a pastry pie
begging to be bread
but just bled instead
Cringing in sight
of shadow
I shuddered,
screaming to myself
enough -
bound in cuffs
with thumbs tied tight

And I cannot paint
nor draw
or place my lines of black to gray
upon this face
wrinkled fine
from time
I decline -
an artist's eye

I would rather be pastels
contrast of myself -
yellow lending hue to green
bruises strike anew, I knew
What must be done
yet close my eyes to sleep.

Forgive me, I tried.

Sue, I am not very good at identifying the subject of a masquerade.

Okay, I'll hazzard a guess ~ Serenity Blaze? ~ Oh, but on second thought, it couldn't be her because she doesn't have any wrinkles!

In any regard, this was a vivid and fascinating portrayal of somebody and their writing!

Great job Sue!

With the "inner rhymes" I am going to guess Karen as well...

Excellent Sue..I too believe this to be much like the style of our Serenity.
Challenge well met!

You'll never tell?

I make it a general rule that if I am being "done", I like to know about it.

Okay, so it's a relatively new rule, but nevertheless...

(Normally if I can't tell I'd check my clothes for clues, but that ain't gonna work in this particular case. )

OH well.

I don't care if yer doin' me or not, it's damned good.

I-cannot-believe-I-just-typed-that.

Love ya suzy q!

Man, you guys got me - rather Karen . . .

*laughing here*

Have you any clue how difficult it was to do you?

*grin*

In writing, I mean, I really don't think it would be that difficult in person.

(Look what you guys do to me)

I am just glad you like and glad it was recognized.

Love you too, K  . . .

Thank you guys for guessing.   Karen has taught me so much about everything, between her and Ed,
I need not pick up another book again.

(Between all of you actually)

(and THAT comment can stay at it is tyvm, although it would be nice.)

Constant inspiration, Lady, that is what you are . . .
