In The Bright

While the morning does its stuff
And dreamer’s candles come to snuff
I bath within the dew drops gleam
And set my sights a daytime seem

I walk within this world of girth
Picking flowers morning’s birth
Smell the roses and the grace
Place this shawl about my space

Pay no heed to judge each deed
Feed the birds and plant my seed
Make the most of wind and sail
Or should I say my daily bail

God knows there’s worlds of wrong
But I prefer a different song
And will not let the mold to bore
To rot my core forevermore

I offer you these words of lace
To help you weave a shawl of grace
