On A Journey To The Unknown

The Father Up Above

The journey to the top was long
as I climbed up the mountain high
When I finally reached the top
I looked up toward the sky

I stood upon the mountain high
searching for my God above
Although I could not see him
I could feel his love

For as far back as I can remember
I always went to his house
anytime the doors were opened
sitting as quiet as a mouse

As the preacher gave his sermon
I listened very carefully
about the father up above
watching over you and me

Today, as I recall those times
I wish that I was young again
and could go back to those times
where I had once been

Sue, this is such a positive write!!
I really enjoyed reading it.

And, I feel the same way, too.

We can't go back exactly, but Sue, we can feel the memories...sometimes we just have to feel where we're at to find the way back up. Good read.   ...jo

ah, I too remember the days of preacher's before my heart was found by the Father...but I would not go back...this journey has been painful, and I look only to the ending and a promise of no tears
nice poem
