Not once, nor twice the bell rings upon the hearth.
Incessant, this beast that challenges my quill to a
race of thoughts that oft come in mere tiny puffs
of syllables....scattered rhyme.

And,   you stand quietly there, leaning against the
oak that my boyhood often challenged to a duel of
Peter Panish chivalry.....Why then, old wise friend,
do you stand idly aside and watch me stumble as
thoughts fall into the trash receptacle beyond the
gate...

Some day, my impish one.....I shall call the bluff of
your whispered dares....and then, at that time...I
shall smile as a toast is raised to celebrate yet one
more time when.....the melding of minds wins
over the matter of the moment....and dares the
joust to again be set free...

Inspired, yes!  A great read!  Don't you love those double dares?

Much enjoyed,

BJ, yes, you do understand, don't you.  Thanks for sharing this.  However, I think your muse is quite lively! Much enjoyed.   ....jo

wonderful way to be inspired, and if that's what it takes to get you motor running, whoam I to argue when the results are so good.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown
