For suthern, because it's time. The winds of change blow soft against my brow and in the stars I see both cross and plough in furrows filled with blood, is life reborn and through the darkness I can see the dawn. The winds of change blow east and west for me some things are held in chains, with some set free for wind cannot be held or yet contained and change will come though I may be constrained The winds of change bring sunshine to my soul and I have learned some things to make me whole though death is death it cannot hold in sway if I'm prepared to live my life each day When all the winds of change have come and gone they leave behind new hope to carry on so though the path is dreary, dark and dull the winds of change will lift me as a gull And I shall soar the winds with rampant ease forget the past and do just what I please. Though I'll still hold to all the things I left I will not be dismayed nor live bereft. Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

Dear Deer, Yes there is optimism and hope. In fact the black is barely more than an occasional grey cloud now. scorpio, thank you the inspiration was suthern of course. Marge, I'm a beautiful soul because others have made me thus. Thank you dear lady for your uplifting words in my time of need. The least I can do is pay it back to others. Magnus I am no exception both as a someone who cares and as a recipient of care. Larry, if you are so desperate to read you may change your mind when you learn I'm writing less poetry and more stories. Although the poetry is still there as evidenced by this piece I've made a decision that I won't unload my trash anymore and what you will get is reasonable work that's edited before I post. So watch this space I may be posting more. Suetang, Thank you for responding to my words. I hope you saw something for yourself in them. Oh... my friend... I'm sitting here at work... exhausted from yet another trip of tears... and find this gift of love and hope. And I know your heart spoke to you... for I left without even telling you of this latest loss. These past 8 weeks have defined hell for me. But they've also blessed me with love and friendship and support beyond any I could ever deserve. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you... for both this incredible poem... and for loving me through the hurt, reminding me that change will come and lips will once again find a way to smile. |
