Ten thousand times
     through each word-spill
I’ve sat here
in Blue,
     thinking of you.
At least that many times,
     but who's counting
          rhymes?
Muse me more,
     I beg of you,
To pull the spirit  songs –
     The True –
To pages with the background bare.
Dance me to your tune,
     there.
I would follow you to sky
If I knew the way to fly.
But you’re the one with wings.
I sit here in my dreams
     imagining
the fill I’d find in your word-bites.
Oh, distant muse, shining bright,
I long for you and wish you’d write.
I read for signs of your consent
          to justify my feelings spent.

Lovely write, Jo, and from one who dreams I can tell you that your muse has given consent.  Funny that you didn't know it when the evidence sits here on pages of blue.

Thank you, Helen, my frend.  This is just one of those -- you know, fiddling.  Hope you're having a good day way over there and your muse is "speaking up a storm" to you.  (Just came back to clarify my slang -- "speaking up a storm" -- a good rain, of course, not meant to be negative at all.)   ....jo

I loved the rhyme scheme in this very much.

"Oh, distant muse, shining bright,
I long for you and wish you’d write"

great lines..through out..

receptors that combine the cosmic soul, where music rhymes....

yes, I know this feeling of want

articulated aptly into a feeling of words
return, return, we beg her...

enjoyed this and you...

These very words are your wings, dear Jo! And how you fly!

So very beautiful!

Love and hugs.

Smiling...
You call it fiddling...I call it a flurb when I do it...
Wonderful song in your thoughts!
Enjoyed,

Of course you can fly my darling friend! What do you think your wings are for?

This poem is a delicate flight of musings!

Hi Jo~
enjoyed this greatly. I think your muse is messing with you, pretending to be in hiding when she's been there all along...well penned.

Aren't muses the biggest teases?  I wish mine would send some imagination through my fingers about now!  And wings?  I've always thought you were the free spirited bird in the family, the one with strong wings and heart.  Yep, I agree with Earth Angel.  You've the wings, Lady!

hugs,
misce

Margherita, I’m so very glad you liked them.  I started out with a love poem, but I think my muse took over and wanted some attention...lol!  Appreciate your time in reading and posting!

TD – Glad you heard it.  LOL on the flurb; yes, it was a flurb...hehehe, glad it made you smile.  TY for your comments.

Seymour -   You’re very kind.  I hope to go flying again real soon.

Linda - Sometimes, I fly; but I should always try; I’ll see you in the sky...hehehe lily jo

This is a delight to read, The words spatter down like refreshing rain and I was renewed for reading it.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

I Have not so many times
To think and ponder upon a rhyme,
A couple here, a couple there,
Perhaps if written I can share,
But I abuse my muse with indecision
But not by lack of emotion;
But for the act of flying
It comes fro the trying
Use bees wax and feathers
Mixed carefully together
And you can glide on the wind
Wherever you muse might send
But stay far from the sun
Least it all becomes undone.

I found this charming. Literally.

Especially the ending--

"Oh, distant muse, shining bright,
I long for you and wish you’d write.
I read for signs of your consent
          to justify my feelings spent."

The sing-song quality of this reminded me of a child's rhyme of prayer, and oh the faith of a child is mighty, yes?

Love ya Jo Jo. (and I haven't forgotten)
