What touches in dreams
That heats my body while it burns my soul,
Is it desire?
Why does it singe me
Where others can't see but deep in my eyes,
Are they careless blind?

Just a little pill,
Take an hour before expected sleep.
Will dreams disappear?
They give just a few,
The may be concerned what too many will do,
I worry on one.

Where did the flames go?
Are they still there burning deep, hot, and slow,
They'll return I know.

From a causeway
Through a doorway
Down a hallway
That burst into flames as I enter,
All turn to cinder.
Yet I remain passed the flame
To choke on smoke
And crumble down
To charred ground
A victim of the fire
Then waking before I expire.

Gloom

kundalini.....I think I made that tonight with a light tomato sauce for dinner!

You know that your writings always intrigue me Professor, and this is the third time that I have come back to read this today. Don't quite understand it, but, I think I will sleep with a nightlight on this evening.

... I worry on one too!

And I think these flames are connected with a certain anxiety or maybe as you say it's desire, desire for warmth in a place where you perceive coldness.

As usual a great performance, dear Professor Gloom.

Good write that got me thinking about my own dreams.  No matter how many we have over whatever period of time it seems that one can never become a dream expert.  I guess just the thinking on them may one day manifest a new thought that leads us off in a direction that we never thought of before.
No pill is the answer to dreams of this kind but accept where they come from and try to understand - but I'm not a dream expert.

If it leaves you singed, then I would read into it that the fire represents "passion."  Passion always gets us into trouble, good trouble sometimes, bad trouble sometimes; but either way, it is dangerous.  But, hey, it could be the yoga thing, too, perhaps -- no pain, no gain either way.   ....jo
