Rewrite

Dragons Shadow

In each of us a dragon lies
And lives with us until we die
It may be called another name
But it is one and the same

Some times it’s called the left hand
Or the short hand of the longhand
Whatever called familiar or rare
It is Beelzebub that is there

And its hand and hand you go
Through greenery and snow
Over hill and dale both wind and gale
Each female and the male

The journey may be short or long
It may be merry or sad the song
But either way it’s you I say
That makes the journey and the way

We all have this dragon bye the bye
Look in your mirror deep in your eye
See Jekyll and Hyde side by side
For that is where, its shadow hides

And when you see it just say, hi friend
For it will be with you, till your end

i guess there's no running from the shadow, is there? better for self-acceptance, hard as that may be...all part of the journey, isn't it wiseman?

I confess I read this a little distracted--the very idea of your dragon being mighty enough to cast a shadow intrigued me.

(Isobel can prolly whup me, so I'm gonna shaddup.)

Speaking of spouses, did I ever tell you my husband's name is George? MmmHmmm.

Yep.

Like the dragonslayer!

quick kiss and I'm outta here!

gawd I love ya sy, and as for demons and dragons and dark creepies, kill 'em with laughter, I say!

Good morning, Sir Tumbleweed ~

I like the strength ~ and the feistiness! ~ of your inner dragon. There is an iron hand in your velvet glove, Dear Gentleman.

I am both the moon and the sun. ~ The yin and the yang. I believe that it is our duality that rounds out our picture ~ or rather, our bust. ~ or should I say, "sculpture"?!? Flirty

Yes we have that kind of constant companion ... the dragon loves to be given attention at certain times, but we have the power to put it to rest too.

Powerful write, dear Seymour.

Love and hugs.

Good to remember this. If one covers one half of their face with a piece of paper and compares it to the other side, they will find two different beings in the mirror. Enjoyed

My favorite Chinese proverb is "The fourth dragon holds the pearl of wisdom". So take it from a guy who was born in the year of the dragon (me), this is a great poem, I really enjoyed it. Keep up the fantastic writing.    - Ed Grim
