Stars shone in a black mellow sky Ohhhh it hurts so good! Hush…the sense of soul moving Failure, numbly grips my mirror My homely wounds, now earthenware He found a one-of-a-kind decision Pity… this sleeping bag for one Inflating moments that forgot to pray Swallowing a punch line that grumbles All the way down, like pointy coconuts Hissing with a corkscrew sound Cobblestones walk arm in arm Like the clop clop of a carriage horse Pulling me through the door Frowning rose buds With winter destinations, but not today Not today I got birthday money in advance The heart of a lighthouse is it’s lens Barnegat’s “Old Barney” calls to me…. Where everything seems romantic South to Rt. 72 Causeway to the Northern tip of Long Beach Island Where the community dreams of light That comes true And folks maintain a winter residence to add a thread or two...
