Could you have known, in that silly intuitive way, strolling the wheat, grasping a stalk as you gently caressed it....Smiling, as only you could....with a raised brow haunting me...ever daunting, flaunting against the billow of sails within a heart’s breeze. Could you? You know, that each breath lingers softly upon the moistness of my lips, struggling against the words that lie motionless, silent....anesthetized to the pain of a shadow’s shrink upon the moor of a garden.... And, the boil of a winter’s night shall come upon the flames that tint your eyes, stroke your hair and bring to me the scent that so entrances me.... enchants me as I lie in wait of a whisper as a rogue tear mingles and I know that you knew. |
