do you hear
the morning
trickling down the windowpane
that tricky morning

don't be in such a hurry
you might turn into
the pavement you walk upon
and then we'll see who's used more

listen and you might hear
your footsteps in the hall
are you walking somewhere
or away from someone

I'll leave my impression
on your bed
while your shoes
wear themselves out

you wouldn't want to be late
for that life you've been waiting for
don't you hear it calling your name
don't you hear it calling your bluff

busy, busy, busy

Happy New Year everyone!

Chaos.  I'm afraid many choose chaos.  I like this very much.

Happy New Year to you, too!

Edgy ~ yet not bitchy! There are several uniquely cool lines in this bit of a controlled rant! Good job!

May 2006 be a wonderful year for you and your loved ones!
