Carry On

You know your voice makes me cringe,
don't you?
Don't let it waiver,
or crack,
or hold your tongue,
I love it too much.
Don't let it be persuaded, misled;
stand strong when I'm gone.

Promise me your eyes,
won't lose their familiar glow,
don't let sleep deprive them of light,
let them shine, illuminate the night,
don't let tears devoid them of color,
continue to bless others with your gaze,
we'll meet again soon.

I read this and I also love the 'Carry On Films' - they seemed to have something in common as I read of humour, thought, things that should never happen - in your words
