your ocean swarms along the edges of me
it buries verses and parts the sand at
my feet
between my toes
foaming sea-quakes and poetry
endless waves just below the surface

there

where, the swelling
and my solitude await your brine…
decorated in reeds
of submission

with reeds of another heart

still

your feet call to me, like two bells beating
a handful of seeds, sowing us together

how i would love you, love you as no one ever did! Die and still, love you more. And still love you more..and more

This is very sensual writing, Maree.

The metaphors and analogies are exquisite.

You're a natural!

Sometimes I think you see into the collective unconscious...

smile...I know those are chalices, not bells, but this is surely what came to my mind as I read. Have a happy one, m'love.

Beautiful Maree, how you decribe love between the Earth and the sea . . .

the swelling
and my solitude await your brine…

and apply that . . .

the feet too, very sensual.

This also reminded me of a Hendrix tune, "Angel":

"Angel came down
From heaven yesterday,
Stayed with me just long enough
To rescue me....

And she told me
a story yesterday;
About the sweet love between the moon
and the deep blue sea.

Then she spread her wings
high over me.
She said,

I’ll come back

and see you tomorrow...."

It's all simply lovely.

Wonderful, wonderful imagery. Fabulous meter and rhythm. I wish I had written this.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown
