One Day One day I watched a butterfly Sitting on a flowers petal Its beauty brought my heart to sigh Two lovelies fused without a nettle Its wings were poised for instant leap Into the breeze that danced the leaves And then it left in instant sweep And joined the leaves in falling weaves I followed its eccentric flap To catch the winds in floating soar It seemed illusion caught a trap A colors dance above the floor It wavered here it wavered there It danced a dance of bubbles float I could not stop my ardent stare It seemed to float a sail less boat I watched it leave a touch serene And waved goodbye the tranquil scene |
