Maybe if my eyes
Were a little bluer,
I'd be great for him.

Maybe if my hair
Were a little longer,
I'd be fit for him.

Maybe if my nose and chin
Were a little smaller,
I'd be fine for him.

Maybe if my skin
Was a little more tan,
I'd be right for him.

Or maybe if I weren't
So husky, curvy
Or I was a little bit thinner,
I'd be okay for him.

Suppose I were
A little quieter;
Think he'd still be around?

Suppose I were
A little less opinionated;
Think he'd have stayed?

Suppose I weren't
So strong willed;
Think he wouldn't have left?

Suppose I wasn't
As smart;
Think he'd be here?

Or suppose I was
More moral, refined
Or even-tempered;
Think he'd have stuck?

I suppose - just maybe -
If I were completely different,
Perfect,
He'd still love me.

Tanya, I know those thoughts ...but no one is perfect and besides you wouldn't be you if you made all those changes...just maybe he was the wrong one for you.

No-one is perfect nor ever understands how life really in it's screwed up versions works

It's works or it dont but often love once the initial breakthrough happens is stuffed into the 'I did it@ box and no-one is supposed to escape anything done to them afterwards
