Where no tyranny is tolerable

When an apple hit Sir Isac Newton
on the bem,
it scrambled up his brain.
So he invented gravity
so they would take him seriously,
and what is the result?
Now Just Hold On A Second ...

On 12-31-05,
at 23-59-59,
the chronometers of Man will stop,
(oops I should have said chronometers of person)
for just one second.
This adjustment is necessary
because tidal forces with the Sun and Moon
are slowing down the Earth's rotation.
So if you've ever wanted the world to stop
so you could get off,
Well ... we're getting there.
Hurry! ... Hurry! ...grab that second hand!

LOL
what a hilarious interpretation
that 'second' opportunity?
