Shouldering his pack
He looks back
And sighs

As I said to your other, I love the way you do these.

But a bit of unsolicited advice?

Don't look back, m'friend.

Unless you're in need of salt.

I know I tease you bunches, John, but I do love your work.

SB

Some ancient once said that the unexamined life is not worth
living.

Thanks for reading

John? That may be a point for discussion there.

That self-examination thing, do you think it's possible to over-do it?

sincerely wanting to know, 'cause damn my head hurts.

SB,

“That self-examination thing, do you think it's possible to over-do it?”

No.
What history can one know best than one’s own
for you are the first, most intimate, honest , (one hopes), witness.
To live only toward the future is to live in fantasy,
and one can not truly live in the present; everything
you record in mind and heart is already passed
however quickly you chose or are compelled to
give attention.

John

P.S.  I apologize, I am anxiously waiting to see
if my bid on a beauty will succeed.

miscellanea,

“WIWT!”

Are we being Druid?
What does that mean?

John, since you so patiently translate for me, I shall return the favor.

WIWT --ain't Druid. It's um, Pip-talk.

"Wish I'd Written This"

and good luck on your bid.

Ah, yet never the less,
a touch of sorcery . . .

So far, this is my favorite of yours!  You capture so much with these few teeny words.  Big punch.  I can feel the determination facing one directing, and the melancholoy in looking back.

Oh, very goooooood write.

keep looking back will make one fall on one's
own twisted mind. One can not make past worse but one can make future better, why bother?
let past silently, shadelessly melt into our steps. He will talk and talk loudly when we need quide.  Squeezing it only  makes lots of noise....not music kind.
