Listening to every heart

In Dancing Sun

Take the rays that spark
one’s morn
and keep them till
they touch the horn
of plenty…

Amid the dew of dawning glance,
hem the sound but hark
the dance,
for it touches hem
of moonsong…

Let the stars of night sound forth,
then stay the time
of sun’s draw north,
as it draws some east
to western rivers

Hurry up the tide of sound
and stay till up
the mountain rounds,
and hold it till
the moss part sings

This is but the nature’s call
to whim with one who
whims us all,
when ice fords all that come
till spring…

this is just the living thing…

the woman…
the wife….
the mother…

life.

In this one line:

this is just the living thing…

You said everything, Kari.

especially adding . . . the just . . .

I love this . . . its beautiful and speaks truth, about nature and woman.

you don't mind if I save this, right?

It whispered to me through the fields of wild flowers and corn....where I grew up.

Wonderful weaving Karilea.

Not sure if this was intended as a clever play on words for one of our favorite poets here, but I enjoyed it as that anyhow.

I just sat a while after reading this..
Thinking of something to say
that would come close to explaining how this poem made me feel....

Going down the stanzas, letting the beauty of the language arrangement get me high- Thinking how at home I found myself, in the story in the lines...

But the last few lines...hit me in the heart...and right between the eyes...

"this is just the living thing…

the woman…
the wife….
the mother…

life."

That-is what I try to say in all of my poems...but never better than that...

Thank you Kari...
