Quickly and spry the sun rises high
on the earth’s cattle pound of sheep
and on all the squares and triangles
trying to fit into little round holes.

From north to south the shore has moved
and the sea has lost boundaries
and over there in the east a would-be tree
is only a half-meter high
but it thinks it has time to grow
like me on the wayside of soul.

In the center a field of heavenly things
ringed by the easy way round
and on this road people like toads
hop and croak, hop and croak, all day
in playful mood and, oh, so at ease
because of no wish to believe
the fields aren’t full of eternal relief
for cavorting noise making fools.

Underground are the rivers and roots
redirected off course, of course
because when caught in a whirlwind romance
no one goes straight to the core
except when the channel’s already been dug
deep into a soul’s history.

The sun rises up and I am ‘flung dung’
on a heap and pile of manure
to be heated and tossed until like dark moss
I’m creeping along the ground
looking for the water, the water,
of that ‘gone missing’ sea of me …
and that’s the way it always will be
when the shore removes boundaries!

I have no idea what you're talking about but then that's part of this poetic license that we all embrace.
However, I do know that this is well written and it took me on a trip.

Well, Eric, you know what they say - seek and you will find .. but maybe not this time and for that I apologize.  It sure is a crazy mixed up world.  Glad  you enjoyed the trip though.
