This is a repost of my very first original Pips post.
I just felt like re-presenting it.
*

He sat down beside me
So gentle and kind
Laughter and sunshine
Came into my mind
He held me closely
And deep down inside
Stirred an old memory
I thought I could hide
Memories of someone
Who once held me tight
Someone who chased away
Darkness from night

So often I've feared
So often I've tried
So often I've stumbled
Too often I've cried
Yet when I think clearly
It all seems so right
My mind is now restful
I accept the night
The reason is simple
The timing is right
I found how to chase away
Darkness with light

Whatever the reason, 'tis the season for "chasing away darkness".

~ "I found how to chase away
Darkness with light"

God bless you!

I like the rhyme, Kacy.

Good one!

I used to know how...

and then my candle burned out...

Thanks for the reply!!
It's nice to know you can kind of relate to the terrible teens. I need a little bit of light to chase away the darkness right know!

That's a tremendous accomplishment, "chasing away darkness with light" and sometimes it does take a lifetime but the rewards are still great.

Nicely done!
