i want you to read me
poetry

you can watch my toes
curl
as flames
lick
from your skull

volts
zinging

this canvas
is melting hues

a thousand gales
could not breathe

LIFE

yet one kiss
from your lips

has snapped
this mast

in two

there are times I wish I couldn't feel at all...the longing in this and the culmination has left me a depleted sail.

How the heck do you reach right into my chest and pull that out?

I know we relate so much in THAT way - what this speaks of . . . but you are far from depleted Karen . . .

but I know where you are coming from.

So?  You wanna read me some poetry?

We all need to be snapped and when we find the one that can do it we should hold on to them.

Thank you guys, I am so so happy you guys liked this, am trying something new - a series of writes about knots - different kinds of knots and as you can probably guess this one was envisioned while lying by a river . . .

Thank you . . .

knots last longer,
when those that are
bound, allow
some movement outside
the binding ties.

thanks for the river view

And I see there are many who agree!

Now I sure didn't read this as being down by just any ole river, and I think I can tell you the one it is     T'was a beaut, this was.  And now I am really laughing at Kacy's "down by the riverside" comment.  Get it,   *nudge, nudge*?
