I finally did it today
That's why I have to write about it
I finally left it behind
I finally listened to it
The constant reminder
that this isn't good for me
The signs perfectly clear
I just wasn't happy
Funny how that works, right?
Positive for others
but not so sure for yourself
When I blew out my birthday candle
lastnight
I didn't know today
would fall into my lap
served on a silver platter
I'm reading this self help book
Where you read about God
and why we're here
At first
It didn't make sense
now it's all perfectly clear
I'm not an uber religious person
but I just have this feeling
I know that everything is going
to be okay at times
and it's like I know
NOW
why I felt the way I did
It's all going to be alright
He wasn't good for me anyways
even as a friend
he has been clean but still
something was there
that got on my nerves
and I realize
why everyone kept telling me
to be careful
I didn't read the signs
I chose to be selective
Perhaps I shouldn't doubt
the dreams
the intuition
Thinking it's just my insecurities
I realize now
even if we don't like it
it's there for a reason...

If at first you don't succeed destroy all the evidence that you tried.

Yay! You got it !!! And...if we don't like it...WE can change it!! Ain't life grand?
Took me many moons to finally have that simple fact light up in me little brain.
Each and every thing that happens in our lives is a lesson in disguise. Embrace All of it. hugs to you, Chris
