Ashes to Ashes…

How strange the dreamer’s dream---
Changing landscapes of truth and imagination,
Depicting the day’s reality,
Canvassed along the walls of Heaven’s vision
Where Angels and ghosts walk along the galleries
Selecting those works of art
That might offer an insight,
To thoughts created from hopes and sin;
These random splattering of circumstances,
Search for perfection,
By blaming others for unhappiness…

Tears from the spectators fall invisibly
Because never will the truth be known
In a world where souls wander blindly
Unable to un-crumble the pages of His word;
Instead, they seek paradoxes of variable loves
Succumbing to selfishness and empty pleasure
And the stark slowness of which their heart will burn…
Ashes on the mantle of a dreaming God.

Marcel

This is a deep poem that moved me. It reminded me of this..."And it shall be in the last days, saith God, I will pour forth of my Spirit upon all flesh: And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see visions, And your old men shall dream dreams:" It feels like a last days poem, but I may be wrong. However it has given me cause for thought.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

marcel, I never thought of that.  The idea of angels and ghosts walking the balcony, looking at us performing below, what a neat concept.

marcel...this..

so so true, we are always wanting and searching for more, something to believe in, and yet, and this is only my personal belief, if we believed so much more in ourselves, instead, might we be a little closer to the truths?  In other words, we've got to stop this fantasy of expecting others to make us happy, yanno?

Love your mind...

"Where Angels and ghosts walk along the galleries

a very interesting viewpoint
each one sees what they wish to see
and that is how
it was meant to be
