He wanted to -

I know he did -

so I'd do it for him, it

was just a moment's happiness

we shared within a parting glimpse

"courage"

He said every night

and every night I thumped my chest.

grin?

I used to make fun of Dan Rather's signature "courage" sign off on the CBS evening news.

Much to my surprise, I find I miss him now.

"Courage" indeed, Danny Boy.

and thanks susie

This is, as are most of yours, a thinker.  Well phrased!  Ken

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

Dang! woman
37 words to tell an endless story very well..
My big mouth style would have used a thousand.

Note to self...
Work on compaction...

Enjoyed

Serenity Blaze, I enjoyed the poem as a piece of art, but don't understand it fully.  I understand a little from what you said in your explanation of "Ward 9 Ellipsis . . .", but hesitate to ask you for more of an explanation because you have done so much for me already, and I don't know how much time you have available, especially online time, but will you?  I understand if you don't have the time.

Serenity...

I always come to read your words...

I don't always leave any behind,

because what's to say in the midst of awe?  I also come back, several times, to any one of your poems, just to read the comments...

sometimes I cannot tell which is more enjoyable.

OH my....OWL?

smiling and rubbing my head.

I may need help to explain Dan Rather. *laughing*

But let me think on this one a bit--and um, btw? Anybody else can feel free to join in on this. *yikes*
