Between the Lines

I find this, a place to relax
when the air is cold
and the words are warm.

I step to the rhythms, if only in mind
believing in fairy tales
in outline and form.

~~~
I speak to myself
in whispering voice
pretending there's someone here.
I am masked in a world
of "remember me when",
missing with every spent tear.
~~~

I can feel the touch,
when even alone,
I have faith in the future of you.

I am dressed in my smile
reading words of the warm
turning a page...maybe two.

yes a great place to find warmth and a smile

My spirit will rise
above the sea~
There will be no drowning
of my soul or me~
