Gods that Bless

Gods that Bless

Quick look at righteousness and the ram
seems too eagerly
displaying some contempt….

as all on the left of right
are screaming at or dreaming of
the wonder of the light….

Even in shifted darkness, below…
still the eyes are to the light…

and the ram, now disqualified
by the righteous face, below…

oh what dreams of winsome make,
in take of time and time of wake
to see some signs within the sake
of all of yesteryear’s remake…

and in my eye I see the faces
that leave the marks within the traces
and unsure this body of all that’s past…

still the clouds…
are made of last.

Great blending of words and picture.  I can't tell which I like more.  Great to read.  Ken

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

A more beautiful poem would be hard to find, to warm the heart on a frozen morning...

(two below the knothole, as my locals say)

"To every Form of being is assigned...
an active Principle:--howe’er removed
From sense and observation, it subsists
In all things, in all natures; in the stars
Of azure heaven, the unenduring clouds..
(Wordsworth-from "The Excursion")

Ah yes! Reading Sunshine and Wordsworth, sure does warm up a country boy...

I enjoy both....

This poem is a beautiful example...they may bless, but unless you've gone celestial on us, that's not the only place blessings come from.
