We three Kings of America are
Politics, Money,Self-Righteousness wars
As over the rivers and through the woods
Trampeling grandmother’s house we go
With a giant HOE HOE HOE
In a desperate MOW MOW MOW
And the world sees the way
We honor and slay
Everything that lies in our
Self-Righteously correct pathway

Happy Holidays! Happy Holidays!
Merry Christmas to all and to all
A Silent Night, Silent Night, Silent Night

For the first Noel is in prison or jail
And though I not be a follower
Of the joys of so-called Christianity
I always enjoyed caroling and singing

Happy Holidays and White Christmas,
Celebrated with green and red ribbons
Gifts wrapped in bright tinsel with gold bells
But now that its all wrapped up
In visions of sugarplums from Hell
(which I never believed in either)
I am nearly at a loss for words
But still intend to carol and shout that
Somewhere over some lovely rainbows
The bluebirds of diversity still sing

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
And to all, a Good Night!

Kacy, God loves you ~ and for what it's worth, so do I!

I love your forthright, shoot from the hip, lay it on the line kind of writing. You are real and open and honest and a total delight to read ~ regardless of subject matter!

May all your days be merry and bright!

Hugs with much love,
Linda

I was hesitant to read this due to my christmas overload, but I must say, I am thanking my lucky stars that I did stop for a brief moment to read this, for I was not in the least bit disappointed.
The honesty found in this, wow.
I loved it completely.

Well said, Kacy, as usual!! It's good to hear your voice call out.  Ken

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

Kacy, I enjoyed reading your opinion on the matter. LOL
And, we all have the right to voice our opinions.
Good that we have that freedom, isn't it? LOL
Thank you for voicing yours, Sweetie.
Hugs,
Ethel...and Happy Holidays to you too!!

Kacy?

How can one NOT understand your intent?

Duh, you'd think so, wouldn't you? I mean, I tend to be pretty much 'straight up,'
unless of course, I am purposely trying to obfuscate around.

I am sorry if anything disturbed you, Sharkie

This was amazing! I'm new here and this was the first poem I read, but it was well worth it, and I'm glad I read yours first! Keep up the good work!

Thanks, Kelly gal.

Loveofcalvary? I am delighted that you enjoyed reading this, and saying that you read something of mine first? that's also a nice treat.

Ring aloud those words of truth, for the truth of words shows Chrsitmas feelings.
