Mystical Man
So easy to understand
Provided us words of wisdom
"Let it Be"
The day the world had cried
John Lennon is a legacy
Yet, his lyrics are still alive

Why don't you
Once again
Whisper those words of wisdom
Mystical Man

We miss you so
Yet your songs live on
Forever Young
Let it be
Once again
you believed Peace on earth could happen someday
Thank you
Mystical Man

Whisper words of wisdom
"Let it Be"

Today is the 25th anniversary of John Lennon's death. I know I wasn't alive when he was shot, but my parents and my older sister was. I only knew him through his songs, and they've inspired me. I only wished he'd be here today. Thank you all for reading this poem.

thanks for the memories! Enjoyed from beginning to end, bitter sweet! He was certainly a guy I enjoyed listening to. Words of wisdom in song! So I thank you and I thank John and I end with Rest in Peace...and just
Let it Be!
Thanks for taking the time to write this.

"You're just left with yourself all the time, whatever you do anyway. You've got to get down to your own God in your own temple. It's all down to you, mate.

John Lennon has a way of touching us today, as his music and lyrics are timeless, for any age, and no matter whether you lived in his era or not.  I'm an American living in England now, and recently I got to visit Liverpool, where he walked and sang and lived for many years before he got famous.  To me, I could almost picture him there, hearing his songs.  Yes, 25 years is a long time, but he'll be around forever...  Great'poem and a new favorite of mine!!  'S'

It is so hard to believe he has been gone 25 years. It seems like that sad day was only yesterday. (not to date myself!)

I'm sure his music will live on. He was and is a legend. Thank you for this beautiful tribute to him.
