Breath
7 November 2005

After three days
of soft-earth rainsong,
look,
the sunlight
is wrapping live, tubular light
around patterned branches
and straight-backed palisades -
and see the leaves lighting up
in multi-dimensional delight

and blue infinity
is lifting my spangled, dragonfly wings

Oh Good Lord, this reads like I am IN that rainfall - taking flight on the wings of that dragonfly.

Beautiful writing, my friend.
Left me with much peace, thank you.

Oh sweet!  Love the vocabulary used...

So, glad you do, Martie (smiles)!

It is my pleasure, littlewing - especially after that beyooooooooootiful horse poem you sent me in your response in my poem Solitude - hope my reply appears there - Lilian (my laptop) started hibernating in the middle of it, but I think I got it in after that - also hope it didn't go in twice.

Thank you Enchantress - I love your Christmas wreath too!

Thank you very much Susan Caldwell.

Owl,
Yup, I love nature that much too. Nicely done.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Oh, I will have to go check that out.

Goodness, I would love to write with you sometime, if I could even step up to that honor.  Your writing is like . . . I don't know . . . like sitting in the woods beneath a pine tree listening to the birds . . .

Larry C.  It's good to know that one shares such a love of Nature with another.  Thanks for telling me.

Littlewing, that would be fun.  I wrote with an ex-boyfriend some time ago (well, he wasn't an ex at the time!).  It would be an absolute honour for me.  I love your poetry very much.  I feel so very honoured that you describe my poetry like that.

Thanks, Marge.  Your comments (and those of others), I am sure, are an important part of the encouragement, inspiration and reason for the poetic flow that can be found in this poetry forum.

Thanks Honeybunch.

Thanks Sunshine!  There are quite a few other poems of mine that like you too!  And so they should!
