Merry… Merry… Beauty may be thy name!
For what boasts more fondly for those who love-
Or the wondrous truth of a lover’s game?
I hath seen too much, yet seen none above,
Nay, have not seen an ounce of such beauty,
Far regions I hath searched and wisdom gained,
Yet all I know, fails in love’s own duty.
No greater truth of love, man hath obtained;
“For none but love quenches a lover’s thirst,
And none else matters if thou love not first!”
So it shall be, Love and Beauty, thy Truest Name,
For none but these may satisfy a lover’s aim!
