Upon Clean White Sheets

A poets pen flows words
Love becomes exposed
Upon clean white sheets
Heart wearing no clothes

A poets feelings appear
Done without rehearsing
Thoughts all plain to see
Naked ready for versing

A poet is mind and heart
Memories that shed light
Emotional high and lows
Uncovering as they write

A poet will pour emotion
Introspection and insight
Adding colourful scenes
To the pages once white

A poet uses imagination
Their fantasy wings soar
They fill the empty space
As love whispers encore
