Arabesque Of The Aorta
By: Noah Eaton
12/1/05

Linguistics of moira,
lisp like lotus lephrechauns
teasing the waterfalls,
murmuring the cadence of Braille,
comatose as capricious cicadas,
immeasurable as the timbre of licorice.

Clemency flickers the Sunday punch,
the fevered moth,
at the gladiolus brunch,
scythings of guelder roses,
baby's breath in Mary's bath,
and admissions I'm scared,
that I'm always on your mind,
the sanskrit form of mise en place.

Chorophobia,
stipples in sorrel seizure,
butterflies parry the tidepools,
my liberating of bachelor's buttons,
just so I can feel,
the vigilance of your vows,
in seeing you for how you began,
ligaments of your lullabies.

Helix of phoenix,
bestrides like maidenhair in bloom,
kissed by a thousand kisses,
blown from your bedroom balustrade,
your sloven abandon numbs my tongue,
like ripening of virgin limes,
but holding my tongue,
is out of the question,
guilelessly glaring,
"Meaning,
is in inhaling."

Among asthmatic azaleas,
enduring the ballast of your breath,
leaning forward into ambrosiac ache,
licking your solace on my lips,
gingerly as gulf stream hummingbirds,
tiptoeing on infected regions of tepidity...

...I strip down my heart,
succumbing to ancient Gaelic of blood,
betwixt misers of lyre,
trembling...

...arabesque of aorta...

OH MY GOODNESS!  Sensational writing, Noah!  My aorta was doing arabesques while my eyes were visioning the beautiful heaven you have penned.  May you find this perfect love, dear Noah!   .......jo
