tomorrow comes with deep set
Greek philosophical eyes…
so unexpectedly,
comrades of grazing lands
piping tones
into a lipstick sunrise
instinctively
nudging & harvesting,
as it passes
mimicking the old man’s
casual dress
making us sit up
in admiration
cannonball slabs
of wistfulness
quietly boiling
like letters from a fire
chatting magical puppet
with a
once upon a time
phrase of sounds
of morning awakening,
writing a language
with honest satisfaction
& thrumming pulse

and...I am reminded
by this pungent daylight
of doors that
would open and close again
& of time
caressing fragments
of my life
with
tally sheet at hand
easily forgotten...then

the voice of tomorrow
began to whisper
breaking that momentary
lapse of silence
“I’ve been waiting here for a week?”
“I’m sorry”, I replied,
adding,
“I was worried about,
what others thought of me” while
fumbling with my smile...

Tomorrow gazed and

in that instance
between dimness of light
I saw convictions
of other dimensions
snapping back
sparks of connection's plights

one single moment
can serve a life sentence
or prove
a savy wine cellar
of a window man
serving zesty trades
of sunny side up
high tides
of adoration 101

at that moment,
tomorrow let down a
draw-bridge of sea,
glistening far & beyond
with robes of pearl color
shining
like stars

no one else's mindset seemed to matter

can you feel the warmth...
of tomorrow
romping on the silence
like
an
immortal
companion?

"caressing fragments of my life
with tally sheet at hand,"

"the voice of tomorrow began to whisper
breaking that momentary lapse of silence"

~ Gosh, I enjoy your rich and unique turns of phrase.

"“I was worried about,
what others thought of me” while
fumbling with my words…."

Lee, may all of your tomorrows be smiling upon you. btw you need never worry what others think of you! Rest assured that you are loved and admired ~ and appreciated.

Love,
Linda

Lee - The last verse is so pretty, it brought me to tears. Your pen always writes of truth and wisdom. Much enjoyed and keepin' this.   hugs, Chris

Airliners have a little-known device called a jump-seat....literally a fold-out seat, in the cockpit's entryway, where an extra person can ride. Usually that'll be a pilot who is going home after a run that leaves him in a city other than the place he lives, or maybe a new pilot learning the airline's procedures....

I like that concept for people, if it could be done....and if it ever is, I want the first ride in your jump-seat...I want to watch you fly your mind someplace like this....

Can't have this one slipping off the page!  LeeJ - Your words are like a rippling brook that doesn't miss a thing on it's journey to the sea - and you take us always on a magical trip.  Thanks!
