Forever In Your Heart

0 posted 2005-11-30 07:01 AM

Oh, sweet poison,
pulsing through my veins,
a maddness of thoughts,
I must pen to paper,
they will not stop,
insistant, persistant,
For I am poetrys daughter,
I do not master it,
it has become my master,
the slave I am,
these thoughts,
these voices inside,
my head, dancing, romantically,
until I listen,
pen in hand, I bleed with ink,
releasing soul across paper,
words drip from one to another,
spilling hearts feelings,
creating a canvas of beauty,
contentment, completment, peace,
for a moment, the voice ceases,
down to but a whisper,
the page is full,
lines are completed,
the poem is born,
I rest my hand with pen,
knowing,
I have gave birth,
once more.
A child birthed from my soul,
brought forth,
so the world may be inspired,
For this season, and seasons to come,
this is my creation,
my offering unto the world.

I wrote something recently with the same sort of meaning, the need to write.  I loved this ARH!  You truly are a poetic child...this is perfect!

I love this. Wish I could write like this.
Awesome poem, lots of luck,

Well written, ARH. And true, of course.

All we write - poetry, prose - carries within it, innately, inseparably, part of us. The thoughts distilled on paper are product of what we are; of our life experiences, our education, our character. In this sense, each such creation contains a tiny bit of our DNA, embedded into the matrix of the poetic expression, birthed into existence, an imprint of our being.

Of course, I liked your rendition much better...
