 Sky Sparkles ~ Linda L. Dowd ~ +*+*+*+*+*+ Snowflakes fall in slow descent, From skies of heather blue. Shimmering in the morning light, ~Sky sparkles in rainbow hue. The filigrees of ice-limbed trees, Are strokes of Nature’s brush. All is still and so serene, In mid of winter's hush. A coverlet of mantle white, Blankets our Mother Earth. Warming Her thru’ winter months, 'Til blush of spring's rebirth. Snowflakes fall in slow descent, From skies of heather blue. Mornin' Linda! Geez, it seems like winter happened over night. The "filigree" silhouette you painted here is very vivid in my mind. I can remember waking up to these kinds of mornings in Ohio years ago and thinking it was just like a fantasy world. Much enjoyed this poem. KBHBLY....lily jo |
