Winds Of Time
By Paul Wilson

Time shattered into pieces resemble grains of sand
lying dormant…for eons on ocean floor
It matters not what I’ve done in the past
the future is lost... time in a bottle I ignore

I believed the end would never come
immortality my fountain of youth
Time stands still for me to ponder
exploding in my mind the truth

Sands of time defy gravity’s fall
as my tomorrows will cease to be
Trapped in their capsule of denial
the dreams we shared you and me

All is lost… defeat I must concede
no stars or moon light up night’s sky
Oceans are calm as mother nature sleeps
dove’s echo my mournful goodbye

I’m touched by all that I see and hear
knowing tomorrow I will never wake
I’m saddened by the thought of dying
so with God and the world my piece I make

Send me back from where I came
ashes to ashes…dust to dust
Let the winds of time bring me
back to you… in time I trust

Martie...All is well dear lady. Thanks for caring...Paul

Nancy...Thanks for the hugs. I am fine, just letting my mind wonder about what could be. Thanks for everything and I really mean that from the bottom of my heart...Paul

Karen...Me write you???? As much as I would love to write you,I don't think anyone can do it quite like you.

So you gonna come looking for me.....Promises promises thats all I ever get...Do you need directions or what. Serriously while writing this I was thinking about you and when I first came here and started reading you, you don't want to know what kind if impression your writting gave me of you...Stay well my little cajun girl...Paul

Karen & Martie...What are ya'll trying to do, gang up on a poor defenseless man.
So you want directions Okay.....

Take 3 eggs and boil them in water
6 slices of pickle
about 1/3 med. onion cut up
3 spoons of Mayo
After eggs are boiled mix it all together with a can of Tuna
Oh thats the wrong directions

SOMEBODY HELP ME OUT HERE.........

Karen...We need to talk about these impressions, cause now i'm developing a complex. Don't pull any punches give it to me.

Martie...All this time I thought you were a sweet kind lady, but now i've seen the real you, and I still like you very much.. HA HA

Marge...I like those words " Driving Passion " that's the first time anyone ever said that about my writing.

Trust me everything is fine, I just dwell on sadness alot but i'm not sad at all.

Lost you on the corner of tuna and onion LOL
Don't slip on the pickle.

Thanks for the read and for making me smile a little more today...Paul

Hi, Paul! It's good to know that this poem is purely poetic and not a reflection of how you are truly feeling.

Like you, I like to express the yin side of me once in awhile. It helps keep me in balance! Into every yang, some yin must fall!

"dove’s echo my mournful goodbye" ~ a real mood setter. Very poetic.

LInda...Thank you so very much for understanding me and this poem. You know sometime I want to write something real powerful and strong, but can't find the words that convey my feelings, this is one of those times.

The part about the dove's echo mournful goodbye is my favorite line also...Paul

You know Paul sometimes I too write of sadness at home here, and when I get to that place where the sadness overflows, it is almost a release to get to a better place after a good cry of why, and missing.  I loved this piece, and I too have missed your fine writing.  Happy Holidays.

To see real beauty you must look with your heart.

Sharon...Your reply has touched me deeply. You know exactly what I was trying to say in this poem. Waiting for the day the winds of time carry me away and bring me back again to those I love and care about.

Thank you dear lady for understanding, knowing, caring and most of all being a friend...Paul
