who broke the gate there that dawn
with their correction of iron and news
and let the winds enter with their spurs
to ruin the glass bark of dreams

who broke the gate of morning's love
and let in the guiltless children
when they were too fragile to pray
and too street wise to play and

when their hands were white gloved
and they had smooth knee creasery
without abrasions on their reflections
and scuffless shoes that dandy'd black

who broke the gate there that season
when the winter songs were bathing
to be the windows of evenings
that left note on fly winged melodies

on the hanging ends of pining tree lies

Solemn moments
require a turning of thought
to those who went
beyond the
norm...

Yours did.

Thank you.

Not sure what words to say.  Will a hug do?

And when he gets
to those pearly gates
to old Saint Peter he will tell:

One more Marine reporting Sir.
I’ve served my time in Hell.

Exquisite sensitivity who breathes the wind's whispers and sings its windows.
