Looking across the table this morning
Your blue eyes dance over my face
I feel the heat rise to color my face
And quickly look away.

Your laughter sings in my ears
Your hand covers the space
Teasing words drift from your lips

My heart is bounding
My mouth runs dry
My mind is erassed
I hear the heavens sing.

Lord, this isn't suppose to happen
After all, we're just friends
What would he think
If he knew of the love I had for him.

Would he run and hide
Or would he stay and laugh
But maybe, with a prayer
He'd share my dream and want to care.

Know yourself before you try to know someone else.

ahhhh the affairs of the heart.
Can't help but ask...in your last poem you
promised in the next poem you write
"The next poem I write
Will have a Man bigger
Than life
With eyes that are older than
Time."
this be the man! ;-)
