spin spun hindering rafters
without the sky left to preach to
and night is often her own driver
in a black pumpkin's pungent

as we drink from her cornucopia
the undulated amber of lava
oh earth we love your belly
when it growls invitations

and when your lady like is broken
like the fragile metal wings
of chain sawed tin commandments
when upheaval is in her snug gown

assundered with jagged silk
and a bodice made from shadows
that the circling ravens prowl
yes you are the stone man's messiah

we wear your crosses as our gypsies

Is that little coffee shop
still at the crossed road?

I sat over in the seat
toward the corner...

talking of a time
long ago...

Enjoyed the owl sounds...

Dark~

Sometimes ... you pen a remarkable render of a time remembered~
This is one of those times, I believe~

'when your lady like is broken
like the fragile metal wings
of chain sawed tin commandments
when upheaval is in her snug gown

assundered with jagged silk
and a bodice made from shadows
that the circling ravens prowl
yes you are the stone man's messiah'

"when your lady like is broken" ...

*sighing* with the sheer imagery of this~

Me likeum~

Dark Stranger, I am thankful for the scribblenote (and I really enjoy this word of yours), without which I may have meandered into more paths that weren't there!  I loved your depiction of the storm.  My favourite part was:

oh earth we love your belly
when it growls invitations
