Yesterday shall never come
as tomorrow seems a long past time
forevermore means nevermore,
and poets never rhyme.
Eddy’s in the current swirling,
As bluegill shun dried bait,
Why is that the past still haunts me?
Why can’t the pain abate?

In mid of night, the swirling eddies can hold us in a holding pattern where one can drown in their sorrows. It takes great strength to swim away from such a powerful vortex of dark waters.

~ May you find that strength, dear Poet.
