He rode the trails and sought the grails,
from here to there he went.

A hearty soul upon a stroll
who never would relent.

His goal to seek a maiden sleek
upon the village green.

And then to ride a moonlit glide,
her hair a raven’s sheen.

They slew a beast before their feast
beside the roaring fire.

And then they sought what each had wrought
as passions fueled desire.

And when the night did chill so slight
they stayed upon one bed.

A man who caught the prize he sought
of raven's sheen...to wed!

To a lady whose words inspire...

My Magnus, you never cease to amaze me.  Try as I might, I can never keep the tempo to the end...while you, my friend, do it flawlessly each and every time.

When I grow up I want to be just like you!

Magnus, I have never come across this form before - with an internal rhyme in the first line of the couplet and then the second line of the couplet rhyming with the second line of the next couplet - I enjoyed it very much (as I did the content of the poem).  Did you create it or is it a known one?

A lucky man is he, to seek and find. The only man luckier is the one who doesn't seek, and finds anyway!

....from here to where he went....here...to where he went....dang I like that line....why didn't I find it when I went a'seeking for my words?
