Walking in the Rain

I walked a goodly way today
Until the clouds turned angry grey
I saw it post horizons ground
Full of passions light and sound

Felt the wind upon my face
Wrapping me in rain like lace
Dipping me tomorrows tallow
Filling me with aching marrow

It drummed upon my back in roar
Reached into my very core
Stirred the passions of my mind
With lightening bolts magnetic find

And I was swept it would appear
Into the hollows of my fear
Fired through a rifles bore
Into the tangle of my core

And with sensations non could bear
I screamed into the bloody air

That actually sounds quite refreshing, Sy...  as long as no damage is done...  Good morning  to you.

Enjoyed your poem, as always,
It might be refreshing, as Mark said,
I’ve always found a walk in the rain good to stimulate thoughts
Till it becomes too cold
Then it’s only good to numb feelings
Which I also need
From time to time.

Seymour~
*giggling* at myself ... I find the showers soooo refreshing ... the lightning, frightening ... the thunder, wonder~

BUT ... now you've got me reminiscing and doing a little soft shoe, singing along as I remember Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds doing their little dancing while 'Singing In The Rain~

Thanks for the memory to brighten my day~

loved the flow of this. Always loved a walk in the rain except of course when rain takes its violent path! A refreshing, cleansing read! Thanks!

I loved this Sy.....indeed rain can be refreshing, even when walking in it....

Seymour~
And today ... Johnnie Ray dances cross my memory~

Remember that one, 'Just Walking In The Rain' ?

---------------------------------------------
"Just Walking In The Rain"
Johnnie Ray

"Just walking in the rain
Getting soaking wet
Torturing my heart
By trying to forget

Just walking in the rain
So alone and blue
All because my heart
Still remembers you

People come to windows
They always stare at me
Shaking their heads in sorrow
Saying, who can that fool be

Just walking in the rain
Thinking how we met
Knowing things could change
Somehow I can't forget

---- Instrumental Interlude ----

(Just walking in the rain)
(Walking in the rain)
(Walking in the rain)
(Just walking in the rain)
(All day I ....)

People come to their windows
They always stare at me
Their shaking their heads in sorrow
Saying, who can that fool be
(Now who can he be)

Just walking in the rain
(Walking in the rain)
Thinking how we met
(Walking in the rain)
Knowing things could change
(Walking in the rain)
Somehow I can't forget
(Walking in the rain ....)"

Lyrics Credit ... online Google Search~

Walking in the rain...

That seems so refreshing..though you were soaking wet.
we had a drizzle of rain today..I wish now that I have walked in it..

I have this thing for the rain and its smell and sound..
Thank you for bringing it all back
