Morning, desperate to get in

Bangs at my windows

Dolls, mocking me with frozen smiles

Stare lifeless into the golden light

As my eyes squint with confusion

The blanket I fit so nicely in

Has shrunken and wrapped around my ankles

Strangling my body

Slowly I purge my weaken form into the day

Sleep was only a minute

Yet, filled with people and colors

It haunts my mind

The bathroom tile boringly white

Speaks quietly to the dust bunnies

While the shower sheds a few tears

For attention

Peering into the mirror

The water spots blur my image

However, I do not care.

The day has just began, and my eyes

Have yet to connect with my brain.

I just need some damn coffee.
