Her eyes turn black;
crows, ravenous flapping cold
ringing, that crow’s beating wings like
thunder,
thunder,
like thunder

Her nails; lighting strikes,
dig deep and burrow into the
innocent soil.

Fragile knife edge foot
hanging off of conductors wires,
steel baton circle legs, or
lead pencils

scampering across the parchment
paper dirt.  The brown, drab culture
depressed, bleeding like an orifice
blood, sweat, hormones.

Scrappy, calloused drumming fingers
across her pot belly stomach.  Round,
bulbous in its wake.  Protruding
indefinitely with life.

Metal rods for arms like legs,
beating her stomach
like a drum, pounding
another life like an unwanted child.

Welcome to the family! Your poem reads very well aloud..sort of like a Poe verse. I enjoyed it and look forward to more from you.
