~*Life Lessons~*

I don’t seem to be able to express
all of these feelings that I have inside
and there’s no way that I can ever count
the many sorrowed tears that I have cried.

I can’t tell of each battle that I’ve fought
only that I have managed to survive,
or of the times I’ve been broken hearted
but yet, I am still very much alive.

There have been many roads that I’ve traveled
and many obstacles I have climbed.
I have been held in the eye of the storm
each receded with the passing of time.

At times I have stood closely near the edge
and faced the many fears of falling down,
but when my eyes have finally opened
I was still standing firm on solid ground.

I have lived within a mighty fortress
of solid ice that surrounded my heart
and I’ve picked up each one of the pieces
after its been shattered and torn apart.

I have made journeys throughout the darkness
in search of finding the eternal light
and I have clung closely to my visions
so I don’t lose all that’s held within my sight.

It has been only by the grace of God
that I have been able to make it through
and I am sure that he has carried me
in times when I didn’t know what to do.

Throughout the many lessons of my life
I have gained strength, learning how to overcome
and even if I feel a little weak
I refuse to come totally undone.

If it should but happen that this vessel
crashes hard upon rough and rocky shores
with time I’ll patch up all of the damage
and I will continue sailing on, once more.

Love ya sweet lady~

Now - while the leaves still dance on the wind
While the moon and the clouds come spinning
Will you whisper my name again?
Again...and again...

I've known --know-- many women, who think they need ice....one who is certain she just can't get along without. Oh how very very wrong they are.
